In this section I am going to share with you step by step how to create your very own powerful vision board so that you experience our unique process and can create your own powerful vision board.
Ideally, you will do this, with time set aside, where you will be undisturbed – allocate around 3 hours or if this isn’t possible 3 x 1 hour slots will also work.
In preparation, you will also need to gather all of your materials required to create a vision board (see pdf linked below)
You will have gone through the inner connection process as part of your on boarding process when you completed the Clarity & Vision Journaling Experience (print this off as you will be going through this again.
When you are ready to create your vision board in your allocated time, find a quiet place that feels comfortable. Remove any clutter and have the area looking clean and tidy. You may want to light a candle or incense.
Bring a glass of water and you may even want to make yourself a cuppa.
When you are settled, hit play on the meditation linked below and then go back through your Clarity & Vision Journaling Experience exercise.
Remove anything that no longer resonates and add anything new in.
It is time now to create your most powerful vision board!
The next step now is to grab your vision board creation materials, required for you to create your vision board. (I include a PDF in this folder that lists the vision board materials for you.
(you might want to put on some soft music at this point).
Now, grab those magazines and begin to flip through them. Resist the urge to get sucked into the articles, and instead, concentrate on how you feel as you see the photos.
Do they make you happy? Do you smile at a particular shot? Does it bring to mind a particular goal or dream? Cut out the images that speak to you in some way.
Look for words and images that represent what you have written down on your Inner Connection journaling exercise.
Don’t worry about organising them or categorising the cut outs at this point. For now, just make a stack of images that have meaning for you.
Next, take your board—and it can be a single piece of paper, a full-size poster board, or even the bulletin board in your office—( I use A3 or A4 size card) and begin arranging your images, quotes and other materials onto your board. Don’t glue at this point!
You can have a single board with areas devoted to each aspect of your life, or a different board for each. Your board can be a hodgepodge of random images, or a carefully laid out plan that progresses naturally from one to the next. It can be color coordinated or not. Ultimately, it has to please no one but you, so let your creativity flow.
Don’t be afraid to use your pencils and markers to decorate your board, draw attention to certain images, or divide it into distinct quadrants. You can add dates and dollar figures if you like, or the names of people you want to think of as you work with it.
Once everything is in place, glue them all down.
AND Most importantly, just have fun.
